Raze

Raze's kit is almost all area damage and movement:

• Boom Bot: a small robot that travels along the ground and bounces off walls. When it sees an enemy in front of it, it chases them and explodes if it catches them. It clears a corner, forces an enemy to show themselves or shoot the bot, and tells you whether anyone is in a space;
• Blast Pack: a charge that sticks to surfaces and that you can detonate whenever you want. It damages anyone nearby and launches you: it is Raze's movement ability, for jumping into a site, reaching a high spot or escaping;
• Paint Shells (signature): a grenade that, after exploding, splits into smaller ones. It deals heavy damage over an area: great for tight corners and for stopping a defuse;
• Showstopper (ultimate): a rocket launcher with a single shot that deals huge damage where it lands. You do not need a precise shot: hitting near the target is enough.

Pick Raze when the team needs someone to create space aggressively and the map has:

• tight spaces and closed corners, where grenades and the bot make hiding impossible;
• chokes to cross, where an explosion at the right moment pushes the defenders back;
• different levels and high spots that Blast Pack lets you reach.

Raze is also an excellent budget-round duelist: her abilities deal lots of damage even when guns are weak, and a well-thrown Paint Shells is worth as much as a rifle in a tight corner.

Finally, Raze is a good pick for players who want a duelist who also gives information: a Boom Bot that explodes or gets destroyed tells the team someone was in that corner, before she even peeks.
