Maps

Lotus

In one line: A three site map with sites close to each other, linked by two rotating doors and a wall that can be destroyed. Rotations are short for both teams, and whoever uses the doors and links at the right moment wins rounds.

Win condition

Lotus has three sites (A, B and C), much closer to each other than on Haven, and a set of links that change during the round: two rotating doors and a destructible wall. The result is a map where both teams rotate quickly.

On attack the win condition is going into a site with all your utility at once and planting before the rotation arrives, or using the doors and the wall to threaten one site and hit another. The sites are small and full of angles: going in piece by piece does not work.

On defense the win condition is knowing early where the attack is going and rotating without being fooled. The rotating doors make noise when activated: listening to them tells you a lot about what is happening.

Callouts

The main names:

  • A Main is the attack's route towards A; along it you find A Root and A Rubble. On site there are A Tree and A Stairs; A Link connects A and B; A Drop is the silent drop from A site towards the defender spawn.
  • B Main leads to B site, in the center; B Upper is the high part near the site.
  • C Main leads to the C area; C Mound is the area outside C Main near the rotating door; C Link connects C with the rest of the defense.

The two rotating doors are one between A Main and A Tree and one between C Mound and B Main. The destructible wall stands between A Main and A Link: once broken, it opens a passage for the rest of the round. The interactive map shows the main names; you will pick up the details in games.
