Maps

Split

In one line: A compact two site map built on several levels, with narrow mains and a mid split into two parts. The sites are close to the defender spawn and full of high positions: the attack has to take space one step at a time, and mid decides where from.

Win condition

Split is a compact, vertical map: the sites have high and low positions, the mains are narrow, and mid, split into Mid Top and Mid Bottom, connects both sites. The sites are close to the defender spawn, which gets there quickly.

On attack the win condition is taking mid and from there threatening a site from two directions, or taking space in a main one step at a time until the defense loses its high positions. Going into a narrow main without having taken anything means fighting on a single front against defenders waiting for you from above.

On defense the win condition is denying mid early and holding the high positions on the sites. If the attack does not have mid, it can only go in through the mains, and a narrow main can be delayed with little utility.

Callouts

The main names:

  • A Lobby and A Main: the right exit from the attacker spawn leads into A Lobby and then along A Main towards the site. A Ramps are the ramps leading up to the site; A Heaven and A Rafters are the high positions; A Screens and A Tower are defensive positions; A Sewer is the low passage linking the A side to mid.
  • B Lobby and B Main: the left exit from spawn leads into B Lobby, from where you go to the site through B Main (with B Garage) or to mid through B Link. On site there are B Tower, B Back and B Rafters, and B Alley and B Stairs, which link the site to Mid Top.
  • Mid Top and Mid Bottom: the two parts of mid. Mid Vent leads from mid towards the A side and its high positions; Mid Mail is another room in mid.

Some high positions are reached with ropes. The interactive map shows the main names.
