Glossary

Entry

In one line: The player who goes into a site first, opening space for the team.

What it means

The entry (or entry fragger) is whoever goes in first. Their job is to take the first duel, ideally win it, and in any case create space: force the defenders to look at them while the rest come in. It is often a duelist, with abilities that help them enter fast or survive first contact.

An entry who dies has not necessarily failed: if the team is right behind and gets the trade, the job is done. The mistake is going in when nobody is ready to follow.

An example

Your duelist pops a flash and goes into A first. They kill one defender and die to the second; the teammate right behind them kills that second defender. The site is yours: the entry opened the way.
