Fair play rules
What we expect from everyone in a ClutchLeague match, what happens when it goes wrong and how to contest a decision.
Version 2026-10-04
1. The basics
Play to win, respect everyone, show up on time and tell the truth about the result.
- No cheating: no software, scripts or tools that give an unfair advantage, no exploiting bugs.
- No boosting or win-trading: no playing on someone else’s account, no throwing games on purpose, no agreeing results.
- No harassment: no insults, hate, threats or discrimination, in game or in voice, text or profile names.
- Be there: confirm your readiness, join the lobby and stay until the end. No-shows hurt nine other people.
- Be honest about the result: the match data is read automatically; if the screenshot fallback is needed, upload the real end-of-match screenshot, unedited. Use only the Riot ID of your own account: a Riot ID that is not yours or is wrong is a violation.
- Follow the lobby checklist: the host sets the match with the agreed settings.
2. Results and verification
At the end of the match ClutchLeague automatically reads the official match data (through HenrikDev) and matches it to the players by Riot ID: if everything matches, the result is confirmed without anyone uploading anything. If the match cannot be found, each player uploads the final scoreboard and ClutchLeague reads the results and compares them. When they agree the result is confirmed; when they do not, the match can be marked invalid or sent to a moderator. A doctored or reused screenshot is treated as a false result.
3. What happens when rules are broken
Sanctions are proportionate and gradual: a warning, a cooldown from the queue, a temporary suspension and, for serious or repeated cases, a permanent ban. Repeated minor issues (no-shows, missing uploads, failed confirmations) add up as strikes that expire over time. Cheating and false results can lead to a ban at the first offence and to rating adjustments. Sanctions are decided by people: nothing is banned automatically on the strength of an algorithm alone.
4. Reporting a player
After a match you can report another player with a category and a description. Reports are reviewed by the moderators. Reporting in bad faith is itself a violation.
5. Disputes and appeals
If you think a result is wrong, open a dispute within 72 hours of the match. If you are sanctioned you can appeal from your profile: a moderator who did not decide the sanction reviews it, and if it is upheld you receive a reason. Decisions are recorded in an audit log.
6. Changes
These rules may change as the platform grows. A substantial change gets a new version and a new acceptance.
