Match point, overtime, comebacks

In one line: The scoreline changes what rounds are worth: at match point there is no later to save for, in overtime everyone has 5000 credits, and in comebacks and leads your head matters as much as your guns. Knowing this changes buys, risks and how you play.

The format in brief

A competitive match is won by being first to 13 rounds. After 12 rounds the teams swap sides (attackers defend and vice versa) and credits restart from 800: round thirteen is another pistol round.

At 12-12 the match goes to overtime: in competitive, the first team to get two rounds ahead wins; in unrated, a single deciding round is played instead. The format details are in the chapter on the match; here we look at how the score changes the way you play.

The rest of this chapter is Premium

You read the preview. The full text, every "if, then" card and the cheat sheet come with Premium. Your progress stays saved either way.
