Maps

Corrode

In one line: A classic two site, three lane map, with a mid that decides rotations. A is mostly taken with a pincer, from A Main and A Link; B is the hardest site to force, with narrow entrances and high positions. It rewards well used utility in the chokes.

Callouts

Win condition

Corrode is a classic map: two sites, three lanes (A Main, mid, B Main) and a mid whose links decide rotations. Precisely because it is classic, you win it with fundamentals: mid control, utility in the chokes, timing in executes.

On attack the win condition is taking mid and using it to attack a site from two directions: on A, A Yard is taken from A Main and A Link together. On B, the hardest site, you need a full investment of utility.

On defense the win condition is holding the narrow chokes with utility and not handing mid to the attack without information. B defends well thanks to its narrow entrances and high positions; A, which can be pinched, needs to know early whether the attack has mid.

Callouts

The main names:

  • A side: A Lobby leads from the attacker spawn to A Main. In front of the site is A Yard, an open space reached from A Main and from A Link (the corridor linking A to mid). Next to the site are A Elbow, a long, narrow lane, and A Pocket, a small space between Elbow and Yard. A Crane is the crane that serves as a landmark on the A side.
  • B side: B Lobby leads to B Main. B Link connects B to mid; B Tower is a raised platform overlooking the site; there are also B Elbow and B Arch.
  • Mid: Bottom Mid is the part closest to the attack, then Mid Stairs, Top Mid and Mid Window, the window overlooking mid.

The interactive map shows the main names.
