Drills
Five lost rounds, ten questions
In one line: Rewatch five lost rounds from your last match and answer the ten questions from the mistakes chapter for each one.
Goal
Find your recurring mistake. One lost round on its own looks like bad luck; five lost rounds looked at with the same questions almost always show a cause that repeats.
How to do it
Pick five lost rounds from a recent match: from a recording if you have one, or from notes taken right after. For each round answer the ten questions and write a single sentence at the end: "I lost the round because...".
Do not judge your teammates: look only at what you knew, what you decided and when. At the end, put the five sentences one under the other and look for the word that repeats.
How you know it works
It works when the five sentences point to one thing to change, precise enough to train: "I arrive late on rotations", "I go in without a teammate". If the sentences are all different, repeat the drill with five other rounds: sooner or later the common cause shows up.
