Agents - 11.3
Team compositions
In one line: A composition is the set of five agents on a team. It must cover a few basic jobs (smokes, information, entry, flank), and it changes with the map. When a role is missing, the team needs to know which job is left uncovered and how to make up for it.
The jobs to cover
A composition works when it covers a few basic jobs:
- blocking vision: smokes to get into a site and to delay;
- gathering information: knowing where the enemy is before going in and during the retake;
- entering: someone who takes the first fights and creates space;
- holding: someone who defends a site or a flank alone, so the team does not have to watch its back.
Each role mainly covers one of these jobs, but many agents cover two. That is why the right question is not "do we have one agent per role?", but "who is doing each of these jobs?".
