Damage and range
The Guardian costs 2250 credits, holds 12 rounds and fires one shot at a time. A headshot deals 195 damage (killing through heavy armor at any range) and a body shot 65. It has a zoom scope and excellent wall penetration.
When to buy it
When you want to hold long lines for less than an automatic rifle, or on force buys where the team plays at range. It is also a good alternative for precise aimers who prefer single shots.
When not to
If you will fight up close or against several enemies at once: the slow fire rate does not forgive mistakes, and two enemies close together are trouble.
What it beats and what beats it
Strong at mid and long range against any gun, if you hit the head. Weak up close against automatic weapons and against players who move a lot or arrive in groups.
How to use it
- Fire one shot at a time, calmly: let your accuracy reset.
- Hold long lines and angles where enemies come from one direction only.
- Use the penetration: with precise information you can hit through cover.
- After a kill, reposition: the second enemy knows where you shot from.
- On a force buy where the team plays at range, a Guardian with light armor costs less than an automatic rifle with heavy armor and still wins long-range duels.
