Operator (playing with)
In one line: The game's heavy sniper: one body or head shot almost always kills, but it is expensive and unforgiving.
What it means
The Operator is the most powerful sniper rifle: one shot is almost always a kill. It is expensive, slow to fire again and slows down whoever carries it. Players who use it ("op" players, or "AWPers" after a gun from another game) hold long lines and take the first kill from range.
The golden rule: with the Operator you shoot once and then move, because everyone now knows where you were. And if you lose it, you hand it to the enemy. Against an Operator you do not dry peek: you use flashes, smokes or a different route.
An example
On a map with a long line through mid you hold it with the Operator. The first attacker who crosses goes down in one shot. Right after, you reposition: whoever wanted to answer your shot is aiming at the wrong spot.
