Flank
In one line: Reaching an enemy from behind or the side, through a route they are not watching.
What it means
Flanking means catching the enemy where they are not looking: from behind or the side. On attack, a player can loop behind rotating defenders; on defense, a player can leave site and come up behind the attackers.
The defense against a flank is easy to say: someone watches the back (a player, a trap, an ability), and whoever is behind calls it when someone comes through. A successful flank is worth more than one kill: it causes panic and forces the team to turn around.
An example
The attack goes into A through main. A defender who was in mid loops around and comes through main behind them while they are planting: two kills before anyone realizes they are coming from behind.
